What a devastating weekend for the sports world with the passing of golf’s Arnold Palmer and the murder of a Calgary Stampeder and boating death of the Miami Marlins young pitcher. Such a shame.
For the month of October there is one birthday greeting going out to Elaine Johnston on October 29. There are no anniversaries for the month.
Time certainly flies as you get older and wonder where did it go? This is the last week of September and I’m wondering what, if anything did I accomplish other than sleeping and eating. Guess there must be something but nothing too exciting.
The farmers are certianly having a hard time to get things done with the weather being so unsettled. Here’s hoping October will be giving us an Indian Summer.
Do you realize that Thanksgiving is just around the corner? Time to start looking for a nice turkey, getting family reminded it’s a long weekend and time for a visit and inviting friends to come too. When that is over it’s time to think about Halloween, get your costume ready to scare the little ones and buy your candy treats while there’s still a good selection to choose from. That lineup of things tells one where the time goes.
That seems to be it for this week and please remember there will be large machines on the roads at various times and give them their due respect. They will move over when it is safe for them and you.
