It’s another slow news week! Everybody must be so busy in the fields that nothing exciting has happened, or will happen this week! Here’s a bit of what’s happening around town:
Nazareth Lutheran Church is hosting its second annual Blessing of the Beasts worship service on October 2 at 10:30 am. St. Francis of Assisi was a great lover of animals and his feast day is October 4 every year. All pets are invited, great or small, to bring their owners to worship that day and receive a special blessing. All pets are to be contained in a crate or on a leash. Please don’t bring spiders if you wish to see Pastor Dyanna again.
Yoga will be starting at the Standard Library September 29. The session will run Thirsdays for 8 weeks. Yes, new day but the 75 minute classes will still start at 5:00 pm. Contact Gina at 587968-1511 by phone or text.
Chelsey Tellier is offering art classes for kids and adults. If anybody is interested in ether, please email Chelsey at firstname.lastname@example.org with the age of your child and their level of experience. Chelsey will get back to you with more information! Adults interested in adult classes are also asked to email her if there is interest.
Every third Saturday Nazareth Lutheran Church will be hosting all kids aged 3 and up for a Bible story, craft, games and snacks! On Saturday, October 22 from 2-4 pm we will be learning about Old Testament Heroes. All kids from all walks of life are welcome and encouraged to come and bring a friend!
As always, submissions can be made to standardnewz@gmail. com or to Pastor Dyanna Couture at 403-644-3848. Please try to have your submissions in by early evening on Sunday!
