Man sentenced for possession of stolen vehicles
A man living in Rockyford was sentenced to eight months in jail for possession of stolen property.
James Hadwen appeared in provincial court in Drumheller on September 23 where he pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property.
On September 13 of this year, police observed a grey BMW parked half inside a garage on a Rockyford property. He was observed removing parts from the interior of the vehicle. It was determined the stolen from Red Deer.
Hadwen also pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property related to a vehicle reported stolen on July 6 from Calgary. He was spotted driving this vehicle in the Red Deer area.
The court heard that he had recently served a sentence of 90 days minus credit for time served, for being in possession of a truck stolen from Calgary. He was spotted with the truck in the Nisku area on February 4.
