The September 26 meeting of the Craigmyle Historic Society (CHS) put in place plans for projects as well as community events.
Thanks to the efforts of Brent Olmstead, Ray Lowe, Linda Norlie, Kelsey Norlie and Connie Balazic, the floor in the church annex is taking on a new look. The gentlemen kindly moved items out of the annex and the ladies are currently working up a sweat stripping and refinishing the original wooden floor.
Workers were confirmed for the Hanna Hospital Women’s Auxiliary Rummage Sale, as the CHS is once again managing the older children’s clothing table.
A Pumpkin Fest post mortem was held including suggestions of how to improve this popular event. Next year’s date was tentatively set for September 9, 2017.
The date for the fall turkey supper was set for November 20 and the menu was planned. If any local gardeners have produced an abundance of potatoes, carrots and/or turnips and are looking for a facility that will put them to good use, the CHS could certainly use these items for their fall supper. Please call Bev at 403-6652492 or Linda at 403-665-2427 and offer your excess produce.
Dates were tentatively set for two other community functions: the Ladies’ Christmas Party on December 2 and the Candlelight Christmas Eve service on Decem-
