The Rockyford Arena will be opening its doors this week for a new season of ringette and hockey. Good luck to all the Ringer and Roughneck teams.
The Rockyford Curling Club will be hosting their Annual Oyster (and ham) Supper on Thursday, October 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The meal is “all you can eat”. The General Meeting will follow at 7 p.m. A draw for a one year curling membership for two people will take place for those in attendance at the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The second Rockyford Library Paint Night in the Village is Thursday, October 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. The registration fee covers instruction and all supplies. Space is limited to 12, so register quick! Please note that this is an adults only event.
Do your children also want to paint? Then good news! Rockyford Library is hosting a paint session just for them. Kids Can Paint is for children ages 7 to 16. The event will run from 10 to noon on Saturday, October 22. The registration fee covers instruction and all supplies. Space is limited to 12, so register early!
November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. Writers around the world, and of all ages, are encouraged to write towards completing a novel. Interested? Then stop by the Three Hills Municipal Library for the Pre-NaNo Meet & Greet on Thursday, October 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Please bring a dessert. Writing sessions begin on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in November starting with Drumheller Library on November 5, Rockyford Library on November 19, and Three Hills Library on November 26. Celebrate the end (or close to) of your novel with the wrap-up party at Drumheller Library on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m. Please bring a dip.
Elaina Geeraert brings a jewellery making class to the Rockyford Library on Thursday, October 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. Create your own tree of life pendant and decorate it as simply or as complicated as you like. Registration is open to participants 15 years and up. Instruction and cost of supplies included in registration fee. Space is limited to 10, so register early.
