It’s Fall Fair Week­end in Delia! The Delia Fall Fair hap­pens on Satur­day, October 15, so times awastin’ to get those en­tries ready for the ex­hibits. The Fair takes place at the Delia arena, doors open at 12 noon, you can come in and look at all the ex­hibits, check the win­ners and see if you won any rib­bons. The ex­hibit en­trees can be taken to the Arena on Fri­day, October 14 be­tween 5 and 8 p.m. Ven­dors who want a ta­ble please con­tact Dawn at 403-364-2129 or Mar­cel at 403-364-2692.

The kids ac­tiv­i­ties for this year are bouncy cas­tles, gi­ant board games, face painter and mini amaz­ing race –register Fri­day night or call Carla for de­tails. You’ll no­tice changes as we try host­ing the con­ces­sion and ven­dors mar­ket out of the curl­ing rink. And of course, come check out the ex­hibits and ac­tiv­i­ties in the Arena. Weather per­mit­ting there could be a sur­prise gar­den trac­tor event! A sam­ple of lo­cal en­ter­tain­ment will be there; buskers wel­come. Have you been col­or­ing? The age ap­pro­pri­ate (0-100) sheets are spread around town; hope to see your ver­sion at the show. An af­ter­noon of fam­ily fun, and a great Fall walkabout as you travel the lane from arena to curl­ing rink and on to the his­toric church photo show!

An in­ter­de­nom­i­na­tional Com­mu­nity Fall Thanks­giv­ing Ser­vice will be held at the Delia Com­mu­nity Hall on Sun­day, October 23 at 10:30 a.m. This is “Souper Sun­day” so stay for a lunch of soup and a bun af­ter the ser­vice. The Wei­glum fam­ily from Three Hills will share about faith, fam­ily and farm­ing and God’s pro­vi­sion in their lives. Ev­ery­one wel­come.

A very in­for­ma­tive ses­sion on Fi­nan­cial As­sis­tance for Se­niors was held at the Drop In Cen­tre on Thursday af­ter­noon. There have been some changes in the grant pro­grams for Se­niors, so it was good to be brought up to date. The gen­eral meet­ing for October at the Drop In will be Thursday morn­ing, October 13, at 10 o’clock. Pot luck is at noon on Thursday, October 20, ev­ery­one wel­come.

October 24 is the day there will be a free flu Clinic at the Delia Com­mu­nity Hall Meet­ing Room from 9 a.m. un­til 4 p.m.

Delia Li­brary Thursday lunch hour hap­pen­ings from 12 to 12:27 –: October 13 – Col­or­ing Craze –all ages October 27 –Toi­let pa­per Tube Mum­mies, Cats and Bats – all ages.

Fall Fun Preschool Pro­gram October 18 – Shauna with Golden Prairie Par­ent Link will be bring­ing fall crafts, ac­tiv­i­ties, books, songs, and more with her to the li­brary . The Mom’s Morn­ing Out will meet on October 11 and 25 from 10 to 11:30 down­stairs in the Delia Chris­tian Fel­low­ship Church.

Scholas­tic Book fair October 19-26 Reg­u­lar li­brary hours, Fam­ily Event night is October 24 from 3:30 to 6:30 Fam­ily Event night will in­clude a spe­cial fam­ily Event Draw where stu­dents could win $50 in books- $25 in books for your fam­ily and $25 in books for your child’s class­room.

Don’t for­get to play Bingo, spon­sored by the Delia Elks ev­ery Tues­day night in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. Doors open at 7, bingo starts at 8. Con­grat­u­la­tions to the last Ju­nior Bo­nanza win­ner, Patty Wells. Come try your luck – you could be the next big win­ner!!
