Hello are you tired of the weather like I am? On the news Saturday night, two farmers from Vegreville were interviewed and they have one foot of snow in the fields so I guess we are better off than them. Still not good.
Judy Borwick sort of messed up earlier this summer by not letting me know she and Mike were grandparents again. Matt and Jenna Hagerty had an 8lb, 13 oz baby girl Clementine Clover born on July 10. Everyone is healthy and happy. These are the young folks that opened the Speciality Hot Dog shop in Vancouver.
Due to a recent diagnosis of cancer, Eileen Herron is now residing at the Drumheller Hospital. Her door is always open for friends and family to visit as she appreciates the time spent with them all. I would suggest that when you go to see her, inquire at the nursing station what room she is in. They have been moving her around lately it seems.
Holly Borwick is home for a month or so having just finished a 6 week course at Algonquin Park in Ontario teaching city kids how to paddle canoes and how to camp in the wilderness. Quite an experience in a beautiful part of Canada. She will be going back to the Kootneys to begin working there again. Great country to work in when you love to ski.
That’s it for this week. Joe Clark once said “Defeat is not bitter unless you swallow it...” Have a good week and bundle up for the weather.
