Con­grat­u­la­tions to three lo­cal cou­ples who are all cel­e­brat­ing their 50th wed­ding an­niver­sary in Oc­to­ber this year. Mar­ried in 1966, Barry and Jan McLeo d, Shirley and Jim Bates, and Don and Bev Hall are all cel­e­brat­ing their golden wed­ding an­niver­sary in Oc­to­ber of 2016. Con­grat­u­la­tions to all of you and may you en­joy many more happy an­niver­saries to­gether!

Delia Kid­sport will be hav­ing their an­nual fundraiser raf­fle ta­ble at the Delia Christ­mas Bazaar. The Trav­el­ling Bas­ket Raf­fle (ap­prox value $600.) is mak­ing its way through the lo­cal busi­nesses. Please sup­port this worth­while or­ga­ni­za­tion so that we can help lo­cal kids par­tic­i­pate in sports. The Delia Christ­mas Bazaar will hap­pen on Satur­day, Novem­ber 12, at the Delia Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, many ven­dors and lots of va­ri­ety to choose from. Be sure to mark it on your cal­en­dar.

Thurs­day was pot luck day for Oc­to­ber at the Drop In Cen­tre, ev­ery­body had a sweet tooth that day as we had sev­eral va­ri­eties of dessert to tempt us. Thurs­day was also movie night, the movie of choice was the Mar­tian. The next birthday party at the Drop In will be held Novem­ber 9, with Charle and Joan as hostesses.

The foot nurse, Diane McCuaig, from Hanna, will be at the Delia Drop In Cen­tre on Tues­day, Novem­ber 1, dur­ing cof­fee morn­ing. If your toe nails need a trim drop in to the Drop In on Novem­ber 1.

A few Delia Se­niors joined the Lo­ran Bus on a trip to Cross Iron Mills on Wed­nes­day. The bus was filled with folks from Hanna and Drumheller, as well. It was a fun trip and the Lo­rans’ are a great group to travel with.

A few mem­bers of the Delia Drop In Cen­tre are res­i­dents of High­land Dell, a highly de­sir­able se­niors’ com­plex in Delia that is close to the cen­tre of town and within walk­ing dis­tance of ev­ery busi­ness in the vil­lage. High­land Dell is un­der the ju­ris­dic­tion of the Sun­shine Lodge in Drumheller, right now only two of the apart­ments are va­cant, any­one in­ter­ested may con­tact Judy at 403-823-3290 ex­ten­sion 223.

At the Delia Li­brary, on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 31, from 12 noon to 12:38 grades 7 and up may cre­ate your own re­mark­able un­der­wa­ter sand cre­ations us­ing special wa­ter­proof sand. Please reg­is­ter for this work­shop with Mrs. Hunter by Wed­nes­day,
