The Rock­y­ford Curl­ing Club’s “All you can eat” Oys­ter (and Ham) Sup­per will take place this Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 28 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Com­mu­nity Cen­ter. The An­nual Meet­ing will be held after sup­per. For those in at­ten­dance, there will be a draw for curl­ing due’s for two peo­ple.

Are you a care­giver? A sup­port course will be­gin on Novem­ber 10 and will run for eight weeks at the com­mu­nity Cen­ter from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Please con­tact WFCSS at (403)934-5335 for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion or if you are in­ter­ested in at­tend­ing.

Birthday greet­ings to those of you cel­e­brat­ing this week are sent to; Diane Kor­nel­son, Kennedy El­der (Happy 16th), Lorne Ne­witt, Kevin El­der, Natasha Boehk and Pat Hel­frich. Happy An­niver­sary to; Eu­gene and Ja­nis Kathol, Ken and Lynda Arnold, Tim and Launa Dahm, Gor­don and Eileen Walker, and to any­one else cel­e­brat­ing a special oc­ca­sion this week.

St. Rita’s Tur­key Sup­per and Bazaar will be on Fri­day, Novem­ber 4, start­ing at 5 p.m. at the Com­mu­nity Cen­ter. Along with the de­li­cious meal, there will be a fish pond for the kids, a cash raf­fle, a craft ta­ble and a bake ta­ble. This is a fun event for the whole fam­ily. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend.

The Rock­y­ford Lions Club will be hav­ing their Steak Sup­per and Auc­tion fundraiser on Satur­day, Novem­ber 12 at the Com­mu­nity Cen­ter. Please watch for posters and this col­umn for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion. Thank you for your con­tin­ued sup­port.

There will be a Re­mem­brance Day Ser­vice at the Com­mu­nity Cen­ter start­ing at 10:30 a.m. on Fri­day, Novem­ber 11.

Call­ing all Wri­mosaurs! Drumheller Li­brary is host­ing a NaNoWriMo writ­ing event on Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No need to reg­is­ter and free to at­tend.

The Trav­el­ling Al­berta Books’ col­lec­tion is now avail­able at Rock­y­ford Li­brary un­til Nov. 17. Read a range of gen­res by award-win­ning Al­berta au­thors.

Elaina Geer­aert brings the Tree of Life jew­ellery mak­ing class to the Rock­y­ford Li­brary on Thurs­day, Oct. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. Reg­is­tra­tion in­cludes ma­te­ri­als. The class is open to par­tic­i­pants 15 years and up. Space is lim­ited, so reg­is­ter early.

Win­ter on the Wapiti art ex­hi­bi­tion is on dis­play at Rock­y­ford Li­brary un­til Nov. 5. En­try is free, and the trav­el­ling ex­hi­bi­tion is made pos­si­ble by the Es­planade and the Al­berta Foun­da­tion for the Arts.

Have you ever wanted to learn a new (to you!) yoga style? Join Danielle Har­ris via video con­fer­ence on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. as she takes you through the fun­da­men­tals of Ash­tanga Yoga. The class will end with a treat: a guided med­i­ta­tion with singing bowls. Free to at­tend.
