Orkney Oracle

The Drumheller Mail - - CLASSIFIEDS - Norma West 403-823-9750

Hello again and by the time you read this the gobblins will have been around to collect the goodies for their sugar highs and the parents are likely glad this happens only once a year.

On October 28 the Three Hills High School had their awards night and as usual the Orkney students did well with Grayson Moar and Evan Bell receiving awards, but I haven’t the information as to what they were. Also receiving awards were the students of the Johnson and the Lansink families who live across the creek from Alice Moar’s place and are frequent visitors to events in Orkney and take part in several. Congratulations to all.

I just realized that earlier I was early with the birthdays for the month of November, so here they are: Grayson Moar November 5, Bradley McGhee November 18, Keara McGhee November 26. There are no anniversaries for November.

When you read this week’s paper the World Series will be over. There have been some good games and some left a lot to be desired. After waiting for so many years to be there either team deserved to win. Now we can get ready for the Grey Cup.

Have a good week. As Will Rogers said, “Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you sit there.”
