The Grace House has received a hand up thanks to the generosity of a local woman, in memory of her son.

Mary Kettenbach donated $10,000 in security funds to Grace House.

Joseph Legacy, executive director of Grace House explains that Mary told him her son Fred owned farm land surrounding Drumheller. Fred was a strong supporter of the community, and on a number of occasions he hired the services of Grace House, and was pleased with their work. He passed away in 2009.

In July of this year, Mary Kettenbach made the decision to donate the funds in memory of her son.

“Mary set the plan in action and on October 31, Grace House received $10,168.38 in security funds in which we will turn to cash and put in our building fund for now to help secure our goals of future ex- pansions, and in turn play our part in honouring the memory of Fred Kettenbach,” said Legacy.
