Town Council is reaching out to better engage residents in conversation about their town.

At Council’s recent Strategic Planning Session, Mayor and Council agreed to be more engaged with the public. It begins with a question and answer period where the public are encouraged to come to Town Hall upstairs every second Monday, commencing on December 5th at 4 p.m. (prior to the Council Committee Meetings) to meet with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

The public will have the opportunity to question Council to better understand why Council makes the decisions they do.

Mayor Yemen states, “Engaging with the public is valuable for Council so that we move forward in a collaborative approach. Council cannot effectively address needs and concerns of the public that we do not fully understand and vice versa, the public needs to be aware of the reasons behind Council’s decisions”.

“Come to Town Hall on the scheduled Q&A dates and we will engage for the betterment of our community.”
