Pronghorn wins Canada’s Safest Em­ployer Award

On Oc­to­ber 24 Pronghorn was hon­oured with a Canada’s Safest Em­ployer Award. Cana­dian Oc­cu­pa­tional Safety’s na­tional awards pro­gram, now in its 6th year, rec­og­nizes em­ploy­ers with ex­cep­tional health and safety, well­ness and psy­cho­log­i­cal safety prac­tices. This award is pre­sented to em­ploy­ers who have a strong safety cul­ture and pro­mote the health and safety of their peo­ple. There are sev­eral dif­fer­ent in­dus­try cat­e­gories and Pronghorn was a sil­ver win­ner in the Oil & Gas cat­e­gory. Pronghorn also won awards in 2015 and 2012.

The Gala Ban­quet was hosted in Toronto by Cana­dian Oc­cu­pa­tional Safety. In at- ten­dance at the awards were Yves Trem­blay, Pres­i­dent and CEO, Vince Jo­hann­son (QHSE Man­ager), Tyler Hansen (Re­gional Man­ager, South/Com­bus­tion Ser­vices Man­ager), Justin Fletcher (Dis­trict Man­ager, Taber) and two Pronghorn em­ploy­ees se­lected for their ded­i­ca­tion and com­mit­ment to pro­mot­ing a lead­ing edge safety cul­ture: Dave Paget (Drumheller) and Shane Gowan (Nisku). Yves Trem­blay who ac­cepted the award on be­half of Pronghorn said, “I am very proud of Pronghorn’s safety cul­ture and the team work it takes to re­ceive this pres­ti­gious award as it takes the ef­forts of all of our em­ploy­ees to achieve the safety mile­stones and suc­cesses we have ex­pe­ri­enced.”
