Combines and trucks were rolling, dust was flying, and wheat was flowing on Thursday, October 27 as local farmers once again volunteered their time, equipment and good will for Standard’s Memory Lane Park project. The Standard Community Facility Enhancement Society’s 160-acre fundraiser wheat crop was harvested at last, and hauled away either to grain elevators or to available storage bins. On short notice, six combines, seven trucks and at least 14 volunteers appeared and finished the job that afternoon and evening. A huge thank you goes out to all who made this possible. What great support for the Memory Lane project!
The Memory Lane Cash Calendar is off and running! The winners so far are: November 1-Earl Pratt, November 2- Marilyn Risdon, November 3-Val Sundgaard, and November 4 was Gary Browning. Congratulations! Check out the Standard Community Facebook Group to keep track of winners!
