Pioneer Trail

The Drumheller Mail - - CLASSIFIEDS - Annette Green

First I must thank Joanne Moulton for looking after this column for a few weeks while I travelled to England to visit Family and friends. I called in to the centre on Monday afternoon last week and found several members playing Crib and others just visiting and having coffee. The mornings seem quiet so this is the time for the Pool Players to enjoy a game, call in if you would like to join in. Wednesday Bingo is always popular, scrabble, Canasta and Bridge on Thursdays. All afternoon events usually start at 1:30 pm except bridge which is at 7:00 pm. Friday was Remembrance Day and the Pioneer Singers took part in the service at the Badlands Community Centre. They will be singing at Sunshine Lodge on Thursday morning, something the residents really enjoy. A group of 30 people went to Rosebud Theatre on Thursday to see the preview of Miracle on 34th Street, it was very enjoyable and a good night out.

The November calendar is now available with all future events, if you do not have a list please contact the Pioneer Trail or Rose Poulson (senior’s co-ordinater)

Our thoughts are with Skip Hampton and Shirley Veinotte who are both in Drumheller Hospital at this time of writing. Our thoughts are with you both.

A few seats are available for the trip to the Christmas Market at Spruce Meadows on Friday, November 19 (call 403 334 0150) to reserve your seat.

The next general meeting is on Tuesday, November 29 at 2:00 pm. All members are invited to attend.
