The Hussar Ag Society Annual Stag Auction was held Friday November 18, it was a great success, watch for more details next week.
Hussar/Bassano Peewee Hockey team had a great weekend winning both of their games.
The Midget Thrashers had one game in Lomond on Saturday, where they lost 4-1.
Geoff and Jackie Fraser spent from October 28 to November 13 on a South African tour. This has always been on Geoff ’s wish list. Highlights were all the animals seen on their many safaris as well as Capetown and Victoria Falls was great.
Yvonne Comstock with sister Gayle Gallaugher, Sue Adrian with daughter Amy Covey spent a few days of relaxing and power shopping in Great Falls this past week.
Dawn Brinton with sister Ivy Rae spent a few days in Houston Texas also relaxing, shopping and touring. While there they got to take in the Adelle concert which was great.
The Hussar 4-H Beef club held weigh in at Barry and LeeAnn Kaiser’s on Saturday, November 19. They weighed 45 project steers, 7 heifers, 18 buddy calves, and one fundraiser calf. Thanks to Kaiser family for hosting this event for our club.
A new healthy living/ weight loss group has been formed in our community. New Beginnings will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the Hussar Hall. All are welcome to attend. The focus of our group will be healthy living not just on weight loss. Please feel free to attend.
Dianne Taubert and Kristen and Peter Anderson attended the Rosebud Dinner Theatre production of Miracle on 34th Street. It is a great Christmas production and good for all ages. The cast and crew have done a fantastic job telling this story.
Get well wishes for speedy recoveries to Kay Isaak and Phyllis Stewart after their recent falls.
Eileen Muller will be celebrating her 90th birthday, November 26 from 2 – 5 pm, in the banquet room of the Strathmore Travel Lodge. Please join her for refreshments and a light lunch while wishing her a very happy birthday!

Light Up the Night December 3. The Hussar special events committee will begin the afternoon with two teams of horses pulling wagons for hay rides and Christmas carols. They also will be serving free hotdogs and hot chocolate. The Hussar fire department will be bringing Santa to see all the children and lights at around 6 pm, and that’s when we will *light up the night*
The Hussar trip club will be selling luminaries dedicated to past loved ones, to light the path as we walk looking at the lights, please get your orders in before December 3. Contact one of the trip club members if you’re interested in buying luminaries.
Many more trees and bushes still available down at the campground for purchase. All community residents surrounding residents and businesses in and around Hussar.
Please come out and support the Hussar Fire Department as all proceeds for tree and bush sales go towards them. A community event can’t happen without community support.
