The Hussar Ag So­ci­ety An­nual Stag Auc­tion was held Fri­day Novem­ber 18, it was a great suc­cess, watch for more de­tails next week.

Hussar/Bas­sano Pee­wee Hockey team had a great week­end win­ning both of their games.

The Midget Thrash­ers had one game in Lomond on Satur­day, where they lost 4-1.

Ge­off and Jackie Fraser spent from Oc­to­ber 28 to Novem­ber 13 on a South African tour. This has al­ways been on Ge­off ’s wish list. High­lights were all the an­i­mals seen on their many sa­faris as well as Capetown and Vic­to­ria Falls was great.

Yvonne Com­stock with sis­ter Gayle Gal­laugher, Sue Adrian with daugh­ter Amy Covey spent a few days of re­lax­ing and power shop­ping in Great Falls this past week.

Dawn Brin­ton with sis­ter Ivy Rae spent a few days in Hous­ton Texas also re­lax­ing, shop­ping and tour­ing. While there they got to take in the Adelle con­cert which was great.

The Hussar 4-H Beef club held weigh in at Barry and LeeAnn Kaiser’s on Satur­day, Novem­ber 19. They weighed 45 project steers, 7 heifers, 18 buddy calves, and one fundraiser calf. Thanks to Kaiser fam­ily for host­ing this event for our club.

A new healthy liv­ing/ weight loss group has been formed in our com­mu­nity. New Be­gin­nings will meet on Wed­nes­day evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the Hussar Hall. All are wel­come to at­tend. The fo­cus of our group will be healthy liv­ing not just on weight loss. Please feel free to at­tend.

Dianne Taubert and Kris­ten and Peter An­der­son at­tended the Rose­bud Din­ner Theatre pro­duc­tion of Mir­a­cle on 34th Street. It is a great Christ­mas pro­duc­tion and good for all ages. The cast and crew have done a fan­tas­tic job telling this story.

Get well wishes for speedy re­cov­er­ies to Kay Isaak and Phyl­lis Ste­wart after their re­cent falls.

Eileen Muller will be cel­e­brat­ing her 90th birth­day, Novem­ber 26 from 2 – 5 pm, in the ban­quet room of the Strath­more Travel Lodge. Please join her for re­fresh­ments and a light lunch while wish­ing her a very happy birth­day!

Coats for the commu- nity- Nov. 29 - 2:30 - 6pm any­one who needs win­ter outer wear is wel­come to come and choose what you may need at no cost.

Light Up the Night De­cem­ber 3. The Hussar spe­cial events com­mit­tee will be­gin the af­ter­noon with two teams of horses pulling wag­ons for hay rides and Christ­mas carols. They also will be serv­ing free hot­dogs and hot choco­late. The Hussar fire de­part­ment will be bring­ing Santa to see all the chil­dren and lights at around 6 pm, and that’s when we will *light up the night*

The Hussar trip club will be sell­ing lu­mi­nar­ies ded­i­cated to past loved ones, to light the path as we walk look­ing at the lights, please get your or­ders in be­fore De­cem­ber 3. Con­tact one of the trip club mem­bers if you’re in­ter­ested in buy­ing lu­mi­nar­ies.

Many more trees and bushes still avail­able down at the camp­ground for pur­chase. All com­mu­nity res­i­dents sur­round­ing res­i­dents and busi­nesses in and around Hussar.

Please come out and sup­port the Hussar Fire De­part­ment as all pro­ceeds for tree and bush sales go to­wards them. A com­mu­nity event can’t hap­pen without com­mu­nity sup­port.
