Town rat­i­fies col­lec­tive agree­ment with town work­ers

The Town of Drumheller and CUPE Lo­cal 135 and Lo­cal 4604, rep­re­sent­ing roughly eighty (80) out­side and in­side em­ploy­ees, are pleased to an­nounce the rat­i­fi­ca­tion of new 2016 - 2018 col­lec­tive agree­ments.

All par­ties were pleased with the pos­i­tive out­come that in­cluded 2% wage in­creases in 2016 and 2017 and a 2.5% in­crease in 2018.

Deputy Mayor Jay Gar­butt com­mented on the rat­i­fi­ca­tion.

“Coun­cil feels the new con­tracts rep­re­sent fair­ness and al­lows us to con­tinue pro­vid­ing great pub­lic ser­vices. We are pleased to see the col­lab­o­ra­tive ef­fort dis­played by man­age­ment and both CUPE Ne­go­ti­at­ing Com­mit­tees that was essen­tial in reach­ing an agree­ment.”
