Morrin Community Calendar

The Drumheller Mail - - NEWS - Darcy Graham 403-772-3747

Good day to all and, we will never pass this way again, last day of the month and onto Decem favorite month of all. I love Christmas and in our house we make it a date to watch a Christmas movie every night. Some of them are a little contrived and even a little corny but they make you cry a little and then feel good and happy with the world again... we need more of that, such a nice, magical time of the year.

And so, the Santa Breakfast is coming up this Sunday, December 4 from 9:00 – noon at the Morrin Community Hall. And here’s another thought...“there was a farmer had a dog and Bingo was his name-o”.... so yes please, don’t forget about Turkey Bingo time on Thursday, December 8 that is also at the Morrin Community Hall with pre-call at 6:30 p.m. and games starting at 7:00 p.m.

And on the Morrin School “theme of dreams”, here are some more inspiring thoughts from the imaginations of the elementary boys and girls...”singer”... “to be in the Olympics”... “my dream is to be an Olympic gold medalist for figure skating and for soccer”... “horses and skating all day”... “my dream is to become a professional chef and a figure skater”... “to be Prime Minister”... “to play in the NHL”... “My dream is to become a chef and open a restaurant with my pet unicorn. I want to have lots of horses and I really want to go to a flames game where Luke Bryan is singing and I get to meet him and the Calgary Flames on the ice”. “The best dream that I could ever have is to be a chef like my daddy and he works in a restaurant he takes me and my brother Tison. Even though my daddy only has one hand he is an amazing chef. He makes us amazing snacks and goodies but enough about that because he already thinks that I’m an amazing cook. But I can improve besides I can already bake cupcakes. To me being a cook would be the best job that I can have”. So, how about all those great wishes and hopes coming from the hearts of the youngpressive! As for me... “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas”, (actually really I am) haha!

And that is about all my news for today. Enjoy this wonderful magical Christmas season and all the fun activities happen goes by so fast. Try not to be so busy that you don’t “take time to chase the snowflakes” as my daughter reminded me in her Christmas card contest entry... cheers!
