Standing in front of a guy at the check-out at a grocery store Sunday, and all he was buying was a toilet brush, and a bag of nuts and bolts.

Couldn't resist asking if he came in for the nuts and bolts, and realized he needed a toilet brush, or if he needed a toilet brush and thought he would buy the nuts and bolts as a treat.

He replied, "I've got six kids at home, and I won't tell you what they did with the toilet brush!" We only got to know Verdel Lowes when she was at

Sears with Dorelle, but always thought she was a with-it lady. One of those people who was always happy, and enjoyed being around her family. Almost made it to her 90th birthday which would have been a great celebration. Nice person, and condolences to her family. Caught parts of Sunday's Grey Cup game Sunday night, and almost wished we hadn't.

Calgary played a very poor first half, and were out thought by a well-coached Ottawa team in the second half. The Stampeders should have won handily, but Henry Burris and company seemed to be a bit hungrier, and played better overall. Quite amazing considering Ottawa is a new team in the league.

Got to work Monday morning and noticed some scratches and cracks on one of the shop windows. It wasn't there Saturday, so curious to know what happened, checked the surveillance camera and caught the culprit red-handed. (see photo)

Probably saw a reflection in the glass.
