In­mate sen­tenced for drug charges

A fed­eral in­mate at the Drumheller in­sti­tu­tion had three and a half years added to his sen­tence af­ter plead ing guilty to drug charges.

Ty­lor Sul­li­van ap­peared in provin­cial court in Drum heller on ri­day, De­cem­ber . e pleaded guilty to pos ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing.

Act­ing on in­tel­li­gence on Oc­to­ber 4, of­fi­cers searched Sul­li­van’s cell. The search yielded 85.12 grams of meth am­phet­a­mine.

The fed­eral pros­e­cu­tor and de­fense pre­sented a res­olu tion for a sen­tence of three and a half years. This takes into con­sid­er­a­tion Sul­li­van’s early guilty plea and the pres­sure in­mates faces to bring drugs into the in­sti­tu­tion.
