Ok, I’m glad the wind stopped or at least slowed down. Christmas lawn décor was flying all over the place. Hope your Santa was tied down.
The countdown is on to the last two draws for the Munson 300 Raffle Draws for 2016. The lucky winner for December 17 was Debbie Gough of Drumheller. Congratulations, there were several tickets sold at the Trevor Gough office and there have been several winners pulled from there, thanks for buying tickets. Tickets for the 2017 Raffle are going very fast. Let us know if you still want one, they will all be sold by January 1. Thank you for supporting the Community Association.
Don’t forget to send in new and gently used mittens to the Morrin School who will be decorating the Mitten Tree until December 23. They also accept scarves and toques. All items will be donated to The Salvation Army. The Christmas Concert at the school will be on December 22 at 7:00 in the school gym.
The Munson Santa Breakfast on December 18 was a big hit. The food was delicious and the activities and visit from Santa was enjoyed by all. I am so glad that Santa had time in his busy schedule to come visit us at Munson. Thank you Santa and safe travels on Christmas eve.
Still haven’t decided what to do for New Year’s Eve, how about joining us for the Night of the Great Gatsby party which will be at the Munson Hall. For more details contact Terri Leslie at 403-821-3178 or myself for more information. Proceeds from this event will support Ronald MacDonald House.
We have only a few days left until Christmas, it’s nice to see people out and about doing their shopping and visiting with friends and relatives. As we go through this season, cherish those you are with and those who can’t be there. It is our friends and fam- ily who are the most important in our lives. Material things are just stuff.
Remember to please drive careful though the holidays, if you need a ride call someone. Call me if you want to, I’ll give you a ride home.
From my family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas and all the very best in 2017.
