The provincial Conservatives are upset that the Notley government is enacting legislation limiting election fundraising efforts, which will result in parties raising less money to get elected, than what Rachel and company are spending on ads to raise support for the soon-to-be enacted Carbon Tax. And this is just the beginning.
Just remember, governments have no money, taxpayers have money, and we are all going to have less of it as we progress through the future.
Saw a news item the other day, that a Canadian Navy ship was in Florida off loading $715 million dollars worth of cocaine they had intercepted from another boat somewhere off the coast.
So, rather than dispose of the drug, the government should sell it, and put the profit to buy a new airplane for the air force. Maybe oversimplification, but since the
Liberals are enacting legislation for marijuana use, this might be another way to cut costs for the military.
And speaking of the federal Liberals, they still don't have the payroll payment system worked out yet, allowing federal civil servants to get paid. They must have some loyal employees. Having said that, the ambitious plan to combine 1500 individual government websites, into one, called canada.ca, is nowhere near complete. A CBC story, this initiative was apparently started by the previous Conservative government, and now, three years later, the project is 10 times over the initial estimate, and far from completion.
