RCMP investigate hit and run
On Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at approximately 11:45 a.m., a fire hydrant was struck in Willow Point, near the DVSS High School.
The involved vehicle immediately left the scene and failed to report the collision. A witness to the collision saw a white, older model, damaged Ford F-150 leave the scene. The F-150 is believed to be in the mid to late 1990's with a rounded front end.
The hydrant was broke off at the base and will cost the town of Drumheller over $2,000.00 to replace.
Damage to the truck should be to the centre of the rear bumper. The hydrant was primarily yellow with orange valve caps and may have transferred some of the colour to the bumper of the truck.
Drumheller RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating this vehicle and owner.
