Morrin Multi Club 4-H News
Yes, it’s that time of year again. On October 3, 2016, the Morrin Multi Club held their first meeting of the year in Morrin, where they elected a new team of club executives. The positions include: President: Mesha Olsen, Vice President: Jack Adams, Secretary: Quinn Nelson, Treasurer: Danielle Varga, Historian: Kali Bedu-Olson, Reporter: Samantha McKee, the District Council Representatives: Sam Gridley and Serena Michie, and General Leader: Melanie Nelson.
The club also has decided that they will be doing the following projects for the 2016-2017 year: equine, canine, small engines, band, photography, individual sewing, individual sports, individual stop motion animation, outdoor adventure.
During the first meeting, members discussed items such as the Co-op Till Tape Program, which last year made $408.40, and the Western Leaders Forum/Teen Track being held on March 17, 18 and 19, 2017 at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.
The second meeting was held by the Morrin Multi Club at Morrin School on November 7, 2016, where they discussed- membership fees, volunteer work for the Lions Breakfast on December 4 at the Morrin Hall, the Clubs Ski Trip on February 21, 2017 at Canyon Ski Hill in Red Deer.
It was also decided that the club will have their Christmas Party at Morrin School on December 10, 2016. Melanie Nelson explained that she applied to Chinook Financial who will be donating money for every volunteer hour the club completes. Melanie also mentioned that she has applied for funding from FCC for $500.
