Is there a classic story you’ve always meant to read? Maybe you loved the movie, or picked up the gist of a fascinating storyline in conversation. Maybe you started it years ago, but lost track of your copy before you made it to the end (funny story – I started Jane Eyre in my teens, but had to return the book to the library before I finished. I didn’t discover until it was assigned in grad school a decade later that I’d only been about 30 pages from the end!).

The library has established a dedicated Classics section, across from the Adult Graphic Novels and near the group study tables, and we encourage you to stop by and browse. There are wonderful stories there – just ask Mardell if you’d like a recommendation! – many in beautiful editions, and more will be added in the coming months. If you want a novel that’s proven its value, that gives a peek into another time and place, and that may very well have helped shape some of the novels you already know and love, check out a classic!

For more information on other programs, events and services at the library, visit our website at www.drumhellerli, or call us at 403-8231371. We’re also on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest!
