The next “Soup Day” at the Friend­ship Cen­tre will take place on Wed­nes­day, Fe­bru­ary 8 from noon - 1 p.m. There will be soup, buns, dessert, tea/cof­fee. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend.

The trav­el­ling art ex­hi­bi­tion is back at Rock­ford Li­brary un­til Fe­bru­ary 22. When We Were Young fea­tures the work of five fe­male artists from Medicine Hat. The works ex­plore the in­no­cence and joy of child­hood, re­la­tion­ships with sib­lings, and the un­ex­pected and some­times trau­matic ex­pe­ri­ences of youth. The ex­hi­bi­tion is cour­tesy of the Es­planade Arts and Her­itage Cen­tre, and the Al­berta Foun­da­tion for the Arts.

Call­ing all pho­tog­ra­phers! Join Rock­y­ford Li­brary for a free photography work­shop on Fe­bru­ary 11 from 10:30 ‘til 2:30. The photography light­ing work­shop is fa­cil­i­tated by Medicine Hat na­tive, Kat Valen­zuela, cour­tesy of the Al­berta Foun­da­tion for the Arts and the Es­planade Arts and Her­itage Cen­tre in Medicine Hat.
