Drumheller tops Fort Ma­cleod in Win­ter Walk Day Chal­lenge

The re­sults of Win­ter Walk Day, Fe­bru­ary 1, are in, and Drumheller was vic­to­ri­ous in its chal­lenge with Fort Ma­cleod.

Drumheller and Fort Ma­cleod had a friendly chal­lenge to see who could log the most min­utes. Af­ter every­thing was tal­lied, Drumheller had 1,178 peo­ple par­tic­i­pate, walk­ing a to­tal of 35,126 min­utes. Fort Ma­cleod had 774 walk­ers, tal­ly­ing 34,839 min­utes.

Se­niors co­or­di­na­tor for the Town of Drumheller, Rose Poul­son, who was busy or­ga­niz­ing the event, is grate­ful for the par­tic­i­pa­tion in­clud­ing Green­tree School, St. An­thony’s, Bedrock Playschool and the Be­fore and Af­ter School Care par­tic­i­pat­ing. The Dragons also took time out to walk with se­niors.

The top par­tic­i­pat­ing busi­ness was Fre­son Bros. who had 30 mem­bers of their crew log­ging 7,200 min­utes.
