Delia School: Sec­ond Se­mes­ter up­date

Delia School re­cently started their sec­ond se­mes­ter with a School Spirit Week planned by the Stu­dent’s Union. The week was full of themes and ac­tiv­i­ties to mo­ti­vate stu­dents and staff.

Jersey Day on Tues­day, Jan­uary 31 was the kick off for Spirit Week, fol­lowed by Trop­i­cal Day on day, Fe­bru­ary 1.

Thurs­day, Fe­bru­ary 2, school staff cooked pan­cakes, sausage, hash browns, and served fruit for the en­tire school, bus driv­ers, and com­mu­nity mem­bers as part of PJ and Pan­cake Break­fast Day.

The week ended with Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 3 as Hill­billy day. Wednes-

Delia’s next event will be the Heart and Stroke Foun­da­tion Jump Rope Event. Stu­dents have al­ready en­joyed a short pre­sen­ta­tion by the Heart and Stroke Foun­da­tion and stu­dents will be par­tic­i­pat­ing in jump­ing rope on Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 17. The event is held to bring aware­ness to the im­por­tance of keep­ing their hearts healthy and to raise funds for the foun­da­tion. In the past, the school has con­sis­tently raised ap­prox­i­mately $3,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foun­da­tion through this event. This year the school has set their goal at $3,500.
