The weather chan­nel was fore­cast­ing a heavy snow­fall warn­ing, luck­ily we missed it in Delia and only re­ceived a dust­ing of snow on the side­walk, it is a re­minder, though, that win­ter isn’t over yet. The geese are back -not in large num­bers yet but small flocks have been sighted fly­ing over, the large flocks will soon fol­low. Day­light Sav­ing Time be­gins on Sun­day, March 12, all signs point to the end of this never end­ing win­ter.

Con­do­lences from the com­mu­nity to the Hud­geon fam­ily on the pass­ing of Ken­neth Hud­geon, Sin­cere con­do­lences to his fam­ily and friends.

Are you ready for the Richard and Deb­o­rah Popovich show? It will hap­pen at 2 in the af­ter­noon, on Wed­nes­day, April 12 at the Delia Drop In Cen­tre. Come lis­ten to the mu­sic of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s as played by Richard and Deb­o­rah, re­fresh­ments and cof­fee will fol­low the show. Get your tick­ets from any mem­ber of the Cen­tre in Delia, or stop in at the Cen­tre for cof­fee and pick up a ticket.

Sun­day morn­ing pan­cake break­fast, spon­sored by the Delia Elks, takes place on March 12 in the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre from 9 till noon. Re­mem­ber to set your clocks ahead the night be­fore.

The gen­eral meet­ing at the Drop In Cen­tre is planned for Thurs­day morn­ing, March 9 at 10 a.m., come for cof­fee and stay for the meet­ing. The potluck lunch is at noon on March 16, fol­lowed that even­ing by Movie night at 6 p.m.

Crib/games night is on the last Thurs­day of the month, March 30, at 7 p.m.. Ev­ery Tues­day and Thurs­day morn­ing is cof­fee time at the Drop In, ev­ery­one wel­come.

Tyler An­der­sen will be cel­e­brat­ing his birth­day on the 5th of March, Rick Fair has a birth­day on the 6th, and Pat Hoover has her spe­cial day on March 7, John Rogers will be a year older on March 8, Mar­i­lyn Downey has her spe­cial day on the 11th day of March. En­joy your spe­cial day wisely and well.

Junk is some­thing you keep for years and throw away two weeks be­fore you need it.
