The weather channel was forecasting a heavy snowfall warning, luckily we missed it in Delia and only received a dusting of snow on the sidewalk, it is a reminder, though, that winter isn’t over yet. The geese are back -not in large numbers yet but small flocks have been sighted flying over, the large flocks will soon follow. Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 12, all signs point to the end of this never ending winter.
Condolences from the community to the Hudgeon family on the passing of Kenneth Hudgeon, Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Are you ready for the Richard and Deborah Popovich show? It will happen at 2 in the afternoon, on Wednesday, April 12 at the Delia Drop In Centre. Come listen to the music of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s as played by Richard and Deborah, refreshments and coffee will follow the show. Get your tickets from any member of the Centre in Delia, or stop in at the Centre for coffee and pick up a ticket.
Sunday morning pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Delia Elks, takes place on March 12 in the Community Centre from 9 till noon. Remember to set your clocks ahead the night before.
The general meeting at the Drop In Centre is planned for Thursday morning, March 9 at 10 a.m., come for coffee and stay for the meeting. The potluck lunch is at noon on March 16, followed that evening by Movie night at 6 p.m.
Crib/games night is on the last Thursday of the month, March 30, at 7 p.m.. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning is coffee time at the Drop In, everyone welcome.
Tyler Andersen will be celebrating his birthday on the 5th of March, Rick Fair has a birthday on the 6th, and Pat Hoover has her special day on March 7, John Rogers will be a year older on March 8, Marilyn Downey has her special day on the 11th day of March. Enjoy your special day wisely and well.
