Hello win­ter, again. I knew it was too soon to put away the win­ter gear. There is ice un­der that snow so tread very care­fully.

The Mun­son 300 Raf­fle Draw win­ner for March 4 was Lisa Rawlusyk. Con­grat­u­la­tions, Lisa thank you for sup­port­ing the Com­mu­nity As­so­ci­a­tion.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to the Mor­rin Se­nior High Girls Curl­ing team who won provin­cials this past week­end in Lethbridge. The team con­sist­ing of: Shelby Prim­rose, Kayla Adams, Tay­lor Olm­stead and Amanda Holowath, car­ried on the three year tra­di­tion of bring­ing home the gold from Provin­cials. A spe­cial thank you to Betty Prim­rose their very ded­i­cated coach and all the par­ents and fans who sup­ported them through­out the sea­son. Good job ladies you made us very proud.

There is a Mor­rin School Par­ent Coun­cil meet­ing on March 13 at 7:00. At­tend­ing the coun­cil meet­ing is a very good way to keep in touch and hav­ing in­put with what is hap­pen­ing at our school. This week is the Rum­sey Mixed Bon­spiel as curl­ing wraps up for the sea­son. Don’t for­get oys­ter night will be Thurs­day, March 9 don’t want to miss out on the de­li­cious meal.

If you haven’t al­ready got your tick­ets for the Aussie Rules Du­el­ing Pianos on March 25 in Mor­rin, Me­lanie tells me it’s too late as they are all sold great news I’m sure very fun evening.

The Mor­rin Fig­ure Skat­ing Car­ni­val will be held on March 12 at 2:00 pm Mor­rin Arena. This year’s theme is Mor­rin Dance Party. The skaters work very hard all year pol­ish­ing their skills, come out and sup­port this great event.

Don’t for­get to mark your cal­en­dar on March 24 as Star­land County will be host­ing Ne­go­ti­at­ing Re­new­able En­ergy Leases. For more in­for­ma­tion con­tact Dara at 403-772-3793.

The Mor­rin Lions will be cel­e­brat­ing 25 years of ser­vice this year. The club started in Fe­bru­ary 1992 with 22 mem­bers and Ken Daw­son was the ini­tial pres­i­dent. The Mor­rin Lions would like to in­vite the pub­lic to help cel­e­brate this mile­stone on Satur­day, April 8 at 7:30. There will be dis­plays, mu­sic by “The Great Plains” and some treats. Tick­ets are avail­able from the Lions mem­bers and at Moun­tain View Credit Union.

On April 1 start­ing at 7:00, the Mun­son and Area Com­mu­nity As­so­ci­a­tion will be host­ing a “Wed­ding Dance”. That’s right dig out your wed­ding duds from years gone by and come on out for an old coun­try style wed­ding dance. There will be mid­night lunch, a gift ta­ble (silent auc­tion) and great wed­ding dance mu­sic to shake your hips to.
