The Drumheller Mail - - CLASSIFIEDS - Eva Nielsen

Greet the day with a song on Monday morning- it’s the first day of Spring! Even if winter has a brief return again, we know that it can’t last and Spring will finally come. The gophers are out – the skunks are out of hibernation, the geese have returned and any day now the robins will come back. Rejoice!!

Another sign of Spring -the much awaited Hanna Rummage Sale is advertised for Saturday, April 29, at the Hanna Arena. This brings out throngs of people, almost the social event of the season. I have run across Calgary people I haven’t seen for years, at the Hanna Rummage Sale. Looking forward to it!

Don’t forget the Delia Skating Carnival on Saturday, March 25 at the Delia Arena at 10:30 a.m. The theme of the Carnival is reality TV- uncensored, uncut and unscripted. That sounds intriguing – and if it’s anything like the other Carnivals the Skating club has produced, it should be well worth watching! Be sure to mark it on the calendar.

Of course April also brings the Richard and Deborah musical and comedy show to Delia. This will take place on Wednesday, April 12, at 2 in the afternoon at the Delia Drop In Centre. Featur- ing comedy and songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, this show will take you back in time when you swayed to the music of those good old songs of yesterday. You won’t want to miss it. A few tickets are still available from any member of the Drop In. Hurry.

Preschoolers will be visiting the library on Wednesday, March 22, and will be exploring Spring.

On Wednesday, March 29, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., there is a beginner’s 3D Design Workshop at the library. Bring a laptop if you have one available, learn how to find 3D designs for 3D printing and how to create, modify and fix designs. Each participant can choose a design to have printed on the library 3D printer. Please contact the library to register.

The Public Library Service Branch has partnered with the Book Publishers Association of Alberta to make over 1,000 Alberta published eBooks available to readers across the province. These eBooks can now be borrowed through the Cantook Station platform on public library websites. Here is an email www. marigold.cantookstation,com.

Happy Birthday on March 24 to a fine triplet of people – Connie Wallace, Terry Hodson and Jan McLoed all celebrate their special day on Friday. Give them a special birthday greeting as you meet them on that day.

Mrs. Irene Diemert is celebrating a very special birthday on Sunday, March 26. Irene will be celebrating a special milestone as she will be 90 years young! Have a wonderful birthday, Irene, and may you have many more perfect years! Come and celebrate with Irene at the Delia Community Hall for cake and program. Sunday, March, 26 at 2:30 pm.
