The news this week is again more about sports but I do know there are some of the farmers in Orkney hauling grain out and emptying bins so there is room for the fertilizer to be hauled. Bit of a problem as the road bans are in effect in some areas now.
Sports news this week is the great honor Team Canada and the Holman rink from Ontario have brought home Gold in the Women’s Curling from Bejing! I believe it is the first time a rink has gone through the entire event without a loss and is the first gold to be won since Jennifer Jones many years ago in Vernon.
Nice to see the Flames back on track and what a hard-hitting game on Saturday night against the Blues. They all must have had some mighty sore spots on Sunday.
Congratulations to Tony Kollman upon being induct- ed to the Hall of Fame - I’ve known him since early days in Hanna. Well deserved award!
It’s hard to realize that March is almost over and we can get ready to try out some April Fool’s jokes on friends. It is almost time for Easter as well. How many of you spoil grandkids or great-grandkids with lots of candy? I prefer to do something different and parent’s seem to think it’s alright too... I give one reasonable sized Easter Egg and then a small donation to their piggy bank or just go and have fun spending. I expect most go and have fun deciding what to buy and it saves on cavities. That seems to be the updates for this week.
A comment from Deepak Chopra states: “There is no getting around that turning bad things into good things is up to you.”
