Get your tick­ets for the evening that spot­lights Drumheller’s finest. The Cel­e­bra­tion of Ex­cel­lence is just days away. It takes place on Satur­day, April 8 at the Cre­ta­ceous Ban­quet Room. Last year was a sell-out.

Sup­port­ing youth is a ma­jor func­tion of Ro­tary. The club has di­rected fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance to the D.V.S.S. Lead­er­ship Con­fer­ence and to the Al­berta Youth En­trepreneur­ship Camp.

Ro­tary-spon­sored youth trips in­clude Jessie Fran­cis at­tend­ing Ad­ven­tures in Cit­i­zen­ship in Ot­tawa and Jor­dan Arm­strong tak­ing in the World Af­fairs Sem­i­nar in White­wa­ter, Wis­con­sin.

Thurs­day and Fri­day club mem­bers and Friends of Ro­tary help raise funds for the com­mu­nity by par­tic­i­pat­ing in the Cen­tury Casino in Cal­gary.

Mon­day’s meet­ing was joined by Hockey Hall of Fame’s Tony Koll­man who spoke about his play­ing days. Also on Mon­day we wel­comed new mem­bers Tara Rosen and Kevin Charles.
