Morrin Community Calendar
And we have another chilly blue sky Monday morning to start things off. We did get a little rain last week to freshen things up and sure will be nice when the temperature warms up. The Easter weekend is coming up followed by the school spring break so we have good things to look forward to.
So, 4H-ers have been a busy group...they were out and about on a food drive recently and collected a bunch of stuff for the Salvation Army Food Bank, which was much appreciated. The club has a couple of things happening in April... the big recycling blitz is set for Saturday, April 22 and if you call Mel Nelson (403772-0000) she will arrange for pickup anytime, up until that date. And the annual 4H Multi-club Achievement night is scheduled just a few days later for Wednesday April 26.
And...want to tell you all again about the new Archery Range, ‘cause it is pretty cool and it is set up right here in Morrin over in the old curling rink in the Morrin Arena Sportsplex. It is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30 – 9:00 and the concession is open so come out, grab some dinner, visit, be a spectator or try shooting some targets...all good!
Also, the Morrin Community Hall Association will be hosting the annual lovely Mother’s Day Brunch at the Hall on Sunday, May 14. And, just to let everyone know, I am told that Melanie Nelson is the one to call if you wish to book an event at the Hall. Thank you to community volunteers for all you do to keep things rolling along.
And, lastly, let us celebrate glorious Easter... He has risen! He has risen indeed! And a song comes to mind, “Living He loved me...dying He saved me... buried He carried my sins far away...rising He justified...freely forever...one day He’s coming...O glorious day! Thank you Jesus and blessings and chocolates to all. Cheers!
