A new walking / cycling path has many benefits, from improving physical health to lifting mood, promoting relaxation, improving concentration, hastening healing and facilitating social connectedness. Nature seems to have it all, and soon the Village of Standard will too with the development of Memory Lane Park! It will be held on Thursday, April 27, at 7:30 pm. The Standard Municipal Library is holding their first annual ‘Not Your Standard Market’ Mother’s Day Market on April 29 from 10 – 5 pm. They will have some great vendors, with unique and homemade items, activities for the kids and goodies to eat. The Country Kids Child Care Center will be selling a variety of crafts and art to raise money to go towards their outdoor play space. There will be gifts for Mom with a wide variety of items ranging from spa items to art work available. This is a kids only space where the children may buy gifts for their mother’s (wrapping included). CKCC is also offering the ‘Kids’ Corral’ where there will be arts and craft activities available for children free of charge, keeping them busy so parents can enjoy the awesome lineup of local vendors. For vendor information please contact Sonya Elias at 403 934 8700, or at firstname.lastname@example.org. All proceeds will be going to the Standard Municipal Library.
