Morrin Community Calendar
Good day everyone! Hope all the staff and students had a lovely spring break...good trips if you went away and a good rest if you stayed home. Right after Easter Sunday, our family fired up the motor home and headed west to Vancouver to meet my brand new great niece, baby Pia...what a sweetie, and then...on to the Horseshoe Bay ferry and over to Vancouver Island to visit friends. The weather was pleasant, no snow, a little rain, a little sun and lots and lots and lots of fun! I spent 30 bucks in a candy store at the Nanaimo Marina after a most delicious Mexican meal at Penny’s Palapa...you gotta go! And then safe trip home Sunday after a stop in Revelstoke and it is definitely a little cooler back here at home in Alberta. It is kind of a gloomy Monday morning to write the news and barely above freezing...sure hope it warms up soon...it will.
Anyway, back to the routine...work, school and lessons. As far as news goes, the 4H Multi Club wrapped up their recycling blitz with a satisfying sorting Saturday at the Nelson farm. I looked at a few pictures from their big day and I saw a happening place with a bunch of people working together, having fun...a most productive gathering. And Wednesday (tonight) is the yearend Achievement Night at the Morrin Community Hall to show off the success of the season and all the hard work that went into the various projects. Thanks so much to the club, leaders, volunteers, members and parents...it’s a good thing you all do.
And lastly, just wanted to let everyone know I was a bit premature mentioning the Hall Board’s White Elephant Sale. They were not sure of the date and looks like it might not work out this spring. I will keep you posted if anything changes, so...carry on! Cheers!
