Ti­tan se­lected for Al­berta Se­nior Bowl South squad

A Drum hell er Ti­tan will be on the field with the top play­ers from across the prov­ince at the 2017 Se­nior Bowl.

On Mon­day, Foot­ball Al­berta an­nounced that Liam McDougald earned a spot on the South ros­ter for the Se­nior Bowl.

The 28 th an­nual Se­nior Bowl High School All-Star Game is slated for Sun­day, May 22 at McMa­hon Sta­dium. Liam was at McMa­hon Sta­dium all weekend try­ing out for the team. Coaches liked what they saw.

“They said t hey liked my ag­gres­sion and how I al­ways wanted to play, and try hard,” said Liam.

With a squad dom­i­nated by play­ers f rom larger cen­ters, McDougald is the only Ti­tan on the squad.

“Every­one is from the cities, and I’m one of t he only ones from at own ,” Li am told the Mail.

As an off en­sive line­man, Liam has played six years with the Ti­tans and played mid­get foot­ball with Air­drie Raiders for two sea­sons.

In 2015, Rhett Dug­gan played at the se­nior Bowl and in 2014, Alan Lis­ter earned a spot on the squad.
