Heart­felt sym­pa­thy of the com­mu­nity goes out to Vicky Siedler and fam­ily, on the sad loss of her mother af­ter a dev­as­tat­ing ill­ness. God bless and com­fort you, Vicky, in this sad time.

Com­mu­ni­ties in Bloom is again co­or­di­nat­ing the an­nual Vil­lage Clean Up on Wednesday, May 3. We will meet at the Delia Drop In Cen­tre on Wednesday evening, at 6 p.m., and start out from there. Ev­ery­one is en­cour­aged to par­tic­i­pate. The Delia 4H Beef Club is as­sist­ing and will pro­vide re­fresh­ments at the con­clu­sion of the clean up. See you there.

Re­mem­ber the Elks Bingo ev­ery Tues­day night at the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. Doors open at 7 p.m., Bingo starts at 8 p.m. There have been some big win­ners lately, it could be your turn nextbut you can’t win if you don’t play!

Re­mem­ber the Mother’s Day Pan­cake Break­fast, spon­sored by the Delia Elks on Sun­day, May 14, from 9 to noon at the Com­mu­nity Cen­tre. Give Mom a treat by tak­ing her out for break­fast.

There is a Prairie Gar­den Tea at the Li­lac Room on Mother’s Day week­end, May 12, 13, and 14. Checkel Green House will be present with bed­ding out plants, etc. also Sandi will be there to an­swer your gar­den­ing ques­tions.

Re­mem­ber the Am­a­teur art ses­sions at the school on Wednesday af­ter­noon from 4 to 7:30. This is just an in­for­mal paint­ing ex­pe­ri­ence, so bring your paints, etc and come join in the fun and con­ver­sa­tion. Meet our new­est res­i­dent, Miss Bobbi Hofer, a com­mis­sioned artist who has com­pleted nu­mer­ous projects in Cal­gary. Bobbi will not be teach­ing a class but will be present to as­sist with tech­nique and ques­tions. For more in­for­ma­tion you may call 403 364 2149.

The gen­eral meet­ing of the Delia Drop In Cen­tre will hap­pen on the morn- ing of Thurs­day, May 11, at 10 a.m. Come for cof­fee, stay for the meet­ing to hear what is hap­pen­ing at the Drop In Cen­tre.

Pot Luck is on Thurs­day May 18, at twelve noon sharp, bring a dish and come join us for lunch. Movie night may fol­low at 6 p.m. if there is enough in­ter­est. Games night is the last Thurs­day of the month, May 25, at 7 p,m, Drop in for cards and visit with your neigh­bors. Ad­mit­tance is only a toonie. Re­fresh­ments to fol­low.

Cards are played at the Drop In on Fri­day after­noons be­gin­ning at 1 p.m. We have had the plea­sure of hav­ing Betty Clark join us for cards lately. Betty lives at New Hazel­ton but is in town vis­it­ing her daugh­ter, Terry Trefz, and fam­ily.

The floor curl­ing club from En­di­ang sent two teams to Stet­tler to com­pete in a bon­spiel. Par­tic­i­pants from Delia were Dave and Carol Sis­ley and Joan Mor­ri­son. The floor curl­ing sea­son is al­most over for this spring, one last bon­spiel was held in En­di­ang on April 24, with twelve teams from East Cen­tral Al­berta par­tic­i­pat­ing. It was a fun day with lots of good food, good fun, with prizes for ev­ery­one. Thanks to the or­ga­niz­ers, Ken and Eleanor Schultz, with the help of Dave and Carol Sis­ley, for a fun sea­son of floor curl­ing, also for the friendly hospi­tal­ity that En­di­ang is so well known for. Thanks En­di­ang, it’s been a good year!

Re­mem­ber the Vil­lage By-elec­tion for one coun­cil­lor on Tues­day, May 16. Don’t for­get to vote.

Birth­day greet­ings in May to Jeff An­der­sen and Nor­lene Hud­geon, who share a birth­day on May 1. Pat An­der­sen and Char­lie Thomp­son will both be a lit­tle older on May 7, give them a birth­day greet­ing when you meet them this week.
