Just a re­minder that if any­one is in­ter­ested the old Hus­sar His­tory book is still for sale.

Sev­eral peo­ple from Hus­sar and area took in the Broad­way mu­si­cal Cin­derella at the Ju­bilee Au­di­to­rium in Cal­gary this week.

Rae-Anne, Leah and Deb­bie Knud­sen en­joyed a nice spring get­away trav­el­ling to Cal­i­for­nia from April 19-24, tak­ing in a ball game, Dis­ney­land, Univer­sal Stu­dios and a tour of Hol­ly­wood.

Kate­lyn, Jac­que­lyn and Marli San­dum have been busy with dance recitals. They par­tic­i­pated in Stet­tler, Sparkle, Catch a Ris­ing Star in Drumheller and the Drumheller Mu- sic Fes­ti­val, earn­ing sil­ver, gold and high gold awards. Their year end recital is in Drumheller with per­for­mances on Fri­day and Satur­day, May 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. They fin­ish out their year of com­pe­ti­tions in Cam­rose on Mother’s Day week­end.

The Mother’s Day tea and en­ter­tain­ment at the Sun­down­ers Cen­tre on SATUR­DAY, May 13 at 2 PM. The Stitch and Chat Ladies are still col­lect­ing gen­tly used, or new purses to be filled and then do­nated to the Cri­sis Cen­tre.

Ch­eryl Fisher trav­elled to Medicine Hat to take in the Dance In­va­sion where their grand­daugh­ter Ta­mara Scheuer­man was danc­ing in the Jazz com­pe­ti­tion.

Jamie, Lisa and Ri­ley spent Satur­day April 29 at the WinS­port Arena tak­ing in the Cham­pi­onship Cup of curl­ing. They had a great time and Ri­ley was lucky enough to get some au­to­graphs from the curlers. They even ended up in a TV shot, prob­a­bly be­cause they were wear­ing jer­seys from op­pos­ing teams, Ri­ley’s team won.

Con­grats to the Strath­more Venom Ban­tam B Team for mak­ing it to the bronze medal game at their tour­na­ment in High River this past week­end! Dayne Col­lett plays on that team!

Wheat­land Cross­ing is host­ing Stu­dent Con­fer­ence Day on Thurs­day, May 4. They will be­gin the day with a Key­note speaker, then all of the stu­dents have been put into three dif­fer­ent ses­sions and fin­ish­ing with an­other key­note speaker. Ses­sions range from fine arts, to phys­i­cal activities, vol­un­teer­ing as well as some amaz­ing speak­ers with in­spir­ing sto­ries. This is for all stu­dents K – 12 and is sure to be a fan­tas­tic day for the staff and the stu­dents com­plete with a free pizza lunch.

The play­ground in­stall is com­ing up quickly and if there is any way you can vol­un­teer for a day or part of the day please let us know.
