The Drumheller Mail - - CLASSIFIEDS -

We had a very busy week here. Lots of activity.

Tuesday, May 2, we held our birthday party for those whose birthdays were in May and June. The music was supplied by the Hanna Old Time Band, which was enjoyed by all. Donna Halliday was in charge of registration. Door prize was won by Maria Gammie. Dr. Neffgen donated a lovely bouquet of flowers which was won by a lucky Jim Clark. Several people were dancing, even the workers in the kitchen could not resist the great toe-tapping music. Next party will be held Tuesday, July 4.

Thursday evening, the faithful Bridge players enjoyed their games of cards. 1st - Jennie Demille, Don Robertson (3190); 2nd - Bill and Mary Burke (2650); 3rd - Dot Mackie, Ken Olsen (2620). They soon will be closing down for the summer so get out and enjoy the last of the season.

On Saturday, May 6, we had a great crowd and good sportsmanship at our Crib Tournament. 1st - Gloria Thomson, Barb Snow (Acme); 2nd - Bernise and Ada (Drumheller); 3rd - Dan and Freda Hird (Drumheller); Low Score - Maria Gammie, Rusty Hamelin (Drumheller); Dot Austin (Calgary) won the 50/50 draw. A delicious lunch was served by the hard working people in the kitchen, thanks gals and guys. Well done.

Next tournament will be held July 29.

We have a good selection of ladies and men’s summer shorts and tshirts. Look in the back area for them.

Life’s gifts are many, and the years bring a kind of wisdom known only to the heart.
