Spring has arrived in full bloom and the farmers are racing to get ahead of that seasonal clock as they already feel they are behind the times and the crop should be in the ground. It has been so wet and there is so much ground still saturated that those big tractors are sinking down in places where they never feared to go before. I can only wish them good luck and caution as they continue to work long hours to get the seed planted. this month at St. Mary’s Lodge

If you happen to notice the activity up at the Rumsey Hall over the next two weeks, it is because the renovations on the kitchen will be getting under will be essentially gutting the space and creating new work areas, a brand new cooler space and lots of modern options to make the work of catering to our many functions much easier. bridal showers planned in the immediate future but it should be all done by the first wedding of the summer.
One of our local teens have been making moves in the bigger world. Quinn Nelson, daughter of Melanie and Tracey Nelson, was named one of two East Central Ambassadors on May 8 in Olds at 4-H Selections. She is a long time member of the Morrin Multi-Club. She was also named for the time for this the 4 day event which may give her a chance at the most prestigious award 4-H has to offer, her two year ambassadorship, Quinn will be embarking on the Northwest Territories agriculture and development tour alongside 22 other 4-H members this summer from July 20 to July 30. Congratulations, Quinn, I hope this brings you many great experiences and opportunities.
