Hus­sar 4-H club gears up for an­nual achieve­ment day

Come May 28, at 10:00 a.m., Hus­sar 4-H club mem­bers will be ready to show their steers in the hopes of mak­ing some sweet coin.

Mem­bers have come from all over in­clud­ing Standard, Cluny, and Bas­sano to form this year’s club of 45 in­di­vid­u­als.

Beef on a bun will be pro­vided to buy­ers as well as ex­clu­sive Al­berta 4-H 100th an­niver­sary stud­ded pack­ages.

A fundraiser steer will also be up for grabs with all pro­ceeds go­ing to Friends of Wheat­land.

Each year, the judges are al­ways look­ing for some­thing dif­fer­ent. Buck Thomp­son will be judg­ing the Con­fir­ma­tion class, Tyler McMur­ray will judge Groom­ing, and Ai­den Jame­son will judge Show­man­ship.

Dar­ren Re­balkan plans on do­ing the auc­tion­eer­ing ser­vices for the sale begin­ning at 3:00 p.m.

First to en­ter the ring is al­ways the grand cham­pion followed by the re­serve cham­pion and pos­si­bly the fundraiser an­i­mal when ready for the sale.

The Show be­gins at 10:00 a.m. with the Sale to fol­low at 3:00 p.m. this Sun­day.
