You can test your skills at this year’s Standard Mu­nic­i­pal Library’s an­nual golf tour­na­ment fundraiser. The library is grate­fully ac­cept­ing prizes, or silent auc­tion do­na­tions. Hole spon­sor­ship is avail­able and in­cludes 2 tick­ets to the prime rib sup­per.

A re­minder from the Nazareth Lutheran Church… They are happy to an­nounce this year’s Cam­per­ship Pro­gram. This pro­gram is for chil­dren who live in the Vil­lage of Standard. Chil­dren can at­tend ei­ther Camp Kuri­akos in Syl­van Lake (www.kuri­akos.ab.ca) or Wilder­ness Ranch in Claresholm (www.wilder­ness­ranch.ab.ca ) A Bike-a-Thon is or­ga­nized for June 18, and all chil­dren wish­ing to at­tend must raise pledges and par­tic­i­pate. The Friends of East Wheat­land & Wheat­land Cross­ing School would like to fur­ther ex­tend their grat­i­tude to the many vol­un­teers who worked tire­lessly to com­plete the play­ground in­stal­la­tion at the new Wheat­land Cross­ing School. The kids love their new play­ground!
