Black Bear sighting in Orkney area
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, a small black bear was found crossing a field North West of the Orkney Community Centre.
Alberta Fish and Wildlife are on the search for the bear and they remind the public to be cognizant as it makes its way to the Red Deer River.
Videos of the bear were taken by Ricky Andersen out by Rumsey.
The day before, the bear was found near Tolman Bridge and then wandered over to the Orkney area.
Black bears do not typically leave the comfort of the sheltered forest.
