DVSS Fine Arts De­part­ment presents year-end con­cert

On Thurs­day, June 8, the DVSS Fine Arts Dept. will present their year-end Fine Arts Night. This con­cert high­lights the work that the var­i­ous di­vi­sions of the fine arts have worked on through­out the se­mes­ter. The ju­nior band will be per­form­ing un­der the di­rec­tion of Ms. Virginia Sakof­sky. Also, the drama classes, taught by Mr. Roger Hamm will be pre­sent­ing Monty Python and Shel Sil­ver- stein scenes that they pre­pared and per­formed at the Drama per­for­mance last week. Ms. Nicole Woo­ley’s Com­puter Arts classes will be pre­sent­ing short videos they have pre­pared, and the Choir, di­rected by Ms. Lisa Marie Mcdonald and Mrs. Becky Neu­man will present 2 songs the choir per­formed at the provin­cial mu­sic fes­ti­val, as well as a col­lec­tion of Michael Jack­son songs they sang at their rock show ear­lier in May. Fi­nally, Ms. Shauna John­son’s art classes will have art dis­played in the lobby and also on screen.

The con­cert starts at 7:00 at the Kalei­do­scope The­atre on Thurs­day, June 8. It will be a very fun night and give you a chance to see what goes on in the fine arts de­part­ment each se­mes­ter. Tick­ets will be avail­able at the door.
