The best beef is 4-H beef. West Wheat­land 4-H Show and Sale Satur­day, June 10 in Rock­y­ford.

An­other day, an­other dol­lar at the an­nual West Wheat­land 4-H District Achieve­ment Day on June 10 at the Rock­y­ford Sport­splex.

Clubs from Chea­dle, Rock­y­ford, and Stan­dard all shape this year’s Show and Sale.

Weigh-in be­gins at 7:30 a.m. The show starts at 10:00 a.m. with the sale to fol­low around 3:00 p.m.

Judges in­clude Rus­sell Sev­cik as the con­fir­ma­tion judge, Jor­dan Deeg as the groom­ing judge, and lastly Katie Deeg as the show­man­ship judge.

Auc­tion­ing off the an­i­mals will be Garry Maclean.

A buy­ers draw will be avail­able for $500 where all buy­ers will get their name put in for the chance to be drawn out of a hat at the auc­tion. All buy­ers must be present in order to win the money be­cause if they leave then they are not qual­i­fied.

A run­ner-up buy­ers draw for $200 is done as well for any­one who has helped bring the prices up for mem­bers.

“It en­cour­ages the buy­ers to stick around and to do some bid­ding,” said Clarence Koois­tra, a 4-H club vol­un­teer.
