The Rock­y­ford Friend­ship Cen­ter would like to ex­tend their thanks to ev­ery­one who vol­un­teered at the Cen­tury Casino in Cal­gary re­cently. It was very much ap­pre­ci­ated.

The Lions “Bull-a-Rama” will take place at the rodeo grounds on Fri­day, June 30. Things get started with a beef on a bun sup­per at 6 p.m., bull rid­ing at 8 p.m., fol­lowed by a spec­tac­u­lar fire­works dis­play to Cel­e­brate Canada’s 150th Birth­day at 11 p.m. It’s sure to be a fun-filled evening for the whole fam­ily.

If your child plans on play­ing Ringette or hockey in Rock­y­ford this up­com­ing sea­son, please get them reg­is­tered by June 30. Go to RMHRA. com and fill out the ap­pro­pri­ate reg­is­tra­tion form. This ap­plies to coaches as well. Drop in for Tod­dlin’ Time every Wed­nes­day at Rock­y­ford Li­brary from 1:00 p.m. ‘til 2:30 p.m.

The Al­berta Foun­da­tion for the Arts Trav­el­ling Ex­hi­bi­tion is back by pop­u­lar de­mand! Stop by Rock­y­ford Li­brary from June 21 to July 19 to view renowned artist Dan Hud­son’s col­lec­tion, 1.6 Mil­lion Miles a Day. The col­lec­tion al­lows view­ers to con­tem­plate mem­ory, time, and ev­ery­day life.

Reg­is­tra­tion for Rock­y­ford Li­brary’s an­nual drama camp is now open! This pop­u­lar event runs from July 3 – 7; open to ages 4 to 18. This fun sum­mer camp is pre­sented by Cal­gary Young Peo­ple’s The­atre and is a great op­por­tu­nity for kids to en­joy a safe and cre­ative space to freely ex­press them­selves and their ideas. The Rock­y­ford Li­brary Pho­tog­ra­phy Club’s next meet­ing is on Thurs­day, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. Join this small but friendly group to share and dis­cuss pho­tos, tech­niques, and chat with other like-minded pho­tog­ra­phers. Free to at­tend, and please bring pho­tos on a USB stick if you wish to show them.
