Munson Mail

The Drumheller Mail - - AROUND TOWN - Becky Kowalchuk 403-823-9264

The flowers are in full bloom these days, enjoy all of them because our days are now getting shorter.

The Here Comes Summer BBQ was a success with a nice crowd. Down a little from previous years but the nasty little storm that blew in at about 3:30 might have kept some people away.

This week’s lucky winner of the Munson 300 Raffle Draw was John Olsen of Morrin. Congratulations John and thanks for buying a ticket.

Donalee and Jorden Ferguson have a Barrel Racing Jackpot scheduled for Wednesday, June 28 at Don Howard’s arena. Come on down and enjoy the entertainment as the girls and their horses fly around those barrels.

It sounds like Vi Adie’s birthday party this past Saturday was a big success. I’m sorry I couldn’t make it.

Friday is the Morrin High School Graduation. Mrs. Adie has the group organized to perfection for their grand march. This year will be very special as the graduating class is paying homage to Canada’s Sesquicentennial. It will be quite the tribute I’m sure. Graduation takes place on June 30 with the ceremony in the gymnasium starting at 8:00 and the Grand March to follow.

It’s going to be a very busy weekend where ever you go, enjoy all the festivities. Drumheller knows how to do July 1 that’s for sure.

Have a good week and happy Canada Day.
