A nominating committee was chosen for the September meeting please volunteer if you can. New people means new ideas. Our next meeting is September 26, please make an effort to attend.

We had our July and August birthday party on July 4, with a very good attendance. But only 6 birthday people turned up, they were either too busy or did not know about it.

The entertainment was by Joanne and friends. Very good music and lots of dancing.

Door prize was a basket of fresh fruit, which was won by Larry Lew Morton.

Thank you Larry Lew for being the MC. You always do such a fine job. Also a big “Thank you “to all the volunteers for a job well done.

July birthday people are: Aline Cells, Don Robertson, Anne Prudery, Roberta Kirby, Micki Koopman, Nora Palmer, Shirley Veinotte, Russ Chaprun, Bonnie Bellrose, Jaque Pennington, Dave Watkins and Trudy Bancroft August birthday people are: Mike Barker, Conrad Smith, Bev McArthur, Freda Hird, Jessie Irioto Happy birthday to all of you, cake and ice cream was served.

The next birthday party will be September 5, for those whose birthday’s are in September and October. So please come out to enjoy the great music that is in store for you to enjoy.

The travel group took a trip to Spruce Meadows on July 8. Even though the weather was just sweltering here in Drumheller, it was just great in Calgary.

“Keep cool” as in January it could be 35 degrees below instead of 35 degrees above.

“The days and years rush by and yet within them there is a sprinkling of moments that remind us of what is truly important.”
