The Big Valley Elks held their Inter-Lodge golf tournament on Saturday, Jul. 15 with 30 golfers vying for the prizes. Elks from Halkirk, Castor, Hanna, and Stettler participated. Local golfers and Big Valley Elks members helped round out the numbers and made it a very enjoyable day. Special thanks to Buster Watts and Don Fooks for their assistance in ensuring no one went thirsty.

Most honest was the team of Dan Webster, Rita Kyncyl and Don Kent. With a score of 31, John Paul, Terry Nolty and John Demos were the best team. Proximity prizes were scooped by Sue Boswell, Rita Kyncyl, Larry Doell, and John Paul.

The afternoon was rounded out with a steak supper prepared by some great ladies and Sue’s sun shades were much appreciated. Once again Len Currie did an outstanding job organizing the tournament and the Elks’ Children's Charity benefited from his Mulligan for Kids event. Thanks to all who assisted in making this a topnotch event for our visitors and thanks to the local golfers who continue to support the cause.
